United top of the table ... @)
My MLS for tonight...
MLS Playoff 04.11 02:00
DC United vs RBNY
- big difference in styles here. DC are a hard working club without a star since DeRosario got injured with Canada while the Red Bulls are the ultimate prima donnas with current and former internationals at almost every position. In this case I'll always go with the lesser talent against the classic underachiever, especially at home. These teams have met 7x in playoffs with DC sporting a 5-1-1 record and there's no hotter team in MLS. DC have not dropped a match since DeRo's injury and are unbeaten in 2 months (5-2-0) and without a home loss in 8 months (12-4-0). They've dropped just 4 home points out of the last 39 available and have lost to RBNY just 2x in 12 games at RFK. RBNY great home team but horrendous away. Their win in Philly on final day of regular season was their first in nearly 6 months. They expected to be hosting the first leg but Hurricane Sandy flooded NY/NJ and they switched dates. The Red Bulls got down to DC early since most of their homes were without power so they're certainly out of routine. Not sure if that's good or bad since they're so horrible away normally but athletes typically like to be in a set routine and this week in NY/NJ was anything but normal. Fact is we have the hottest team in the league, nearly unbeatable at RFK, against a club that can't win away. Yes there is an enormous difference in team salaries but that's never helped NY win a title in the past and their "name" is the only reason line isn't a solid -0.25. Decent bet for me
DC United pk 5u -110
